What does happen in a beefarm during winter ?
Frequent opening of the hives is dangerous for the families, especially when it is very cold.
December review complete. Several weak hives, with attacks from yellow jackets. Overall enough food and ready for the rough part of winter. 🐝❄️☃️🌬️

Yellow jackets are pesky and taking advantage of the bees low temperature tolerance. They enter the hive one by one to steal honey by tiptoeing around the beehive ball (comprised of all the bees around the queen, vibrating with its wings to generate heat and keep all warm).
